The appropriate electrical certification is completed once the work is finished.
MODERN PROTECTIVE DEVICES
Modern consumer units can incorporate RCBO protection, residual current protection, surge protection and clear circuit identification, where appropriate to the property and the proposed work.
The proposed arrangement is confirmed following assessment of the existing installation rather than applied as a one-size-fits-all specification.
EXISTING INSTALLATIONS
Before a replacement consumer unit is installed, the existing electrical installation must be suitable for connection to the new equipment. Inspection and testing may identify defects or remedial work that should be addressed before, or as part of, the upgrade.
