PROJECT OVERVIEW
L&K delivered door-entry, lighting and emergency-lighting works at Carlisle Infant School in Richmond for the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
SCOPE OF WORKS
Installed a door-entry system at the playground rear gate.
Installed additional door-entry handsets at the front desk and in the hall.
Routed door-entry cabling across approximately 30 metres of fencing and shrubs.
Replaced 52 lights across 8 classrooms, 1 corridor and 1 toilet.
Worked with 8 different lighting types.
Installed new emergency lighting in every room.
Installed sensor-controlled corridor lighting with no manual switching required.
Carried out the lighting design.
THE CHALLENGE
The door-entry cable route ran across approximately 30 metres of fencing and shrubs between the playground rear gate and the school.
THE WORKS
L&K installed a door-entry system at the playground rear gate, with additional handsets at the front desk and in the hall. The door-entry cabling was routed across approximately 30 metres of fencing and shrubs.
The lighting works replaced 52 lights across 8 classrooms, 1 corridor and 1 toilet, using 8 different lighting types. New emergency lighting was installed in every room, and corridor lighting was configured for sensor control with no manual switching required.
L&K carried out the lighting design for the project.
PROJECT OUTCOME
The verified works provided a door-entry installation at the playground rear gate, additional handsets at the front desk and in the hall, and renewed lighting, emergency lighting and sensor-controlled corridor lighting across the listed school areas.
